Who I work with
I work with driven, hard-working people — professionals, parents, students, creatives — who are used to being the strong one. From the outside, you're managing. Inside, you might be carrying anxiety that never switches off, old wounds that keep reopening, a brain that won't cooperate with your ambitions, or a relationship that's slowly going quiet.
You don't need to be in crisis to deserve support. And you don't need to have the "right words" for what's wrong. That's what our work is for.
How I practice
Trauma-informed, always. Whatever brings you in, we go at your pace. You decide what to share and when. I understand the ways people survive hard things — perfectionism, overworking, numbing, people-pleasing — as adaptations that made sense, not character flaws.
Harm reduction, not judgment. If you use substances, behaviours, or habits to cope, you will not be lectured here. We start from where you are, protect your safety, and build alternatives at a pace you choose.
Inclusive and affirming. As a Black therapist, I know first-hand how much it matters to sit across from someone who doesn't need the context explained — and how rare that can be in Ontario's mental health system. Clients of every race, culture, faith, body, gender, and orientation are welcome in my practice. 2SLGBTQI+ allied. My office is wheelchair accessible.
Efficient and goal-oriented. Therapy with me is practical. We identify what you want to change, we use approaches with real research behind them, and we build tools you keep for life — changes that stick.
